Queen of Angels Academy: We’re in the House!
A huge congratulations goes out to Ms. Haller and our very spirited student council for re-launching QAA’s highly successful House System. The past two weeks have granted staff and students the opportunity to experience all that the academy has to offer through various community-building activities. School excitement continues this Friday night at 7pm with our annual talent show, Angels Café; make sure to purchase your tickets this week. Good luck to all of our talented participants!
There’s Nothing Scarier than Going Hungry
Although this time of year is certainly focused on candy, costumes and fun, Ms. Percival and her amazing pastoral team have issued a new Halloween challenge for its staff and students. From October 17th to October 31st, the QAA community will be collecting food and beverages as part of On-Rock Ministry’s ‘Trick or Eat’ food drive campaign. All collected items will go towards helping to stock community kitchens, food banks and teen youth centers in the West Island. Let’s make this an October to remember!
Queen of Angels Academy Gives Back
A very big thank-you goes out to all of our amazing students who have already begun to give back to the community through our highly successful Angles in Action community service program. Always enthusiastic and more than willing to lend a hand, the girls are once again making us all proud by voluntarily embarking on various charitable endeavors. If your organization needs student volunteers for any of your activities or events, please contact Margaret Buzas at buzas.m@qaa.qc.ca
Excitement is in the Air!
Only one month in and the QAA community has already partaken in a wide variety of successful events including:
the annual school-wide Book Talk,
the secondary one Arts Retreat,
Grad Carwash,
Girls for the Cure walkathon,
and Yearbook 2010-2011 distribution.
Come and see all that the Academy has to offer at our second Open House on Thursday October 6, from 4:00-7:00 pm. We look forward to meeting you all!
